To encourage wider engagement in AI-driven urban innovation, the Asia-Pacific Accelerator Network (AAN) proudly sponsored the AI × Smart City Node Data Innovation Competition this year. The initiative aims to support talent and teams exploring data-centric solutions and to promote new possibilities for smart city development.
Organized by the College of Computer Science at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and guided by the Industrial Development Administration, the competition invited participants to build innovative, feasible, and impactful AI applications using datasets collected from smart poles deployed across urban environments. These datasets include information on pedestrian and vehicle flow, temperature and humidity, noise levels, PM2.5 and PM10 air quality readings, streetlight behavior, battery metrics, and more—forming a valuable foundation for AI- and IoT-driven urban solutions.
AAN is committed to strengthening the innovation ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region by connecting startups, researchers, and industry stakeholders. Through sponsoring this competition, AAN seeks to empower young innovators, enhance AI capabilities, and encourage data-informed approaches to urban sustainability, public services, and smart infrastructure development.

AAN congratulates this year’s winning teams for their creativity, insight, and strong execution in addressing real-world urban challenges. Looking ahead, AAN will continue to champion cross-border innovation by supporting startups, facilitating international exchange, and enabling greater collaboration across the AI and smart city sectors.
The organization remains dedicated to nurturing an inclusive and vibrant innovation ecosystem—one that advances AI technology, strengthens industry collaboration, and accelerates smart city development across the Asia-Pacific region.
